I hadn’t had such a disconnecting holiday in a long time and it made me think and reflect about what really matters - being surrounded by vitamin people like mine, eat well but local and seasonal, sleep (sometimes I forget but when I do it I feel fully recharged), read, laugh, walk and stay active, contemplate the surroundings and sometimes also, it’s needed to learn how to flow 🫶

This isn’t really a recipe, it’s more like a spring mood on a plate. Simple, very green, and built with whatever veggies feel right. 🫛🌱

I quickly boiled asparagus, snow peas, and peas 🫛 : five minutes, no more, and straight into cold water to keep them fresh and crunchy.

The base? Greek yogurt, tahini, lemon, dill, black pepper, and a bit of Tajín (the Mexican acid salt) for fun.

The oil? Wild garlic, it’s in season and I’m obsessed. Just blanch, blend with olive oil and strain. You can totally swap it for basil or mint oil too!

Then I warm the greens with shallots, pile everything up over the base, add torn burrata (or ricotta, or mozzarella — I’m a cheese goat), drizzle the green oil and finish with lemon zest.

That’s it. Serve it with friends, good bread, and a glass of wine. Spring is served.

A spring classic that never fails in my family – and only needs 3 ingredients!
Simple, delicious… and honestly? Kind of addictive.
Even asparagus haters might fall for this one.

Perfect for 4–5 people:
-1 kg white asparagus
-500g potatoes (I used 4 medium ones)
-4 eggs (use 2 for the sauce — and double it if you want extra to drizzle)
-Parsley (optional, but pretty)
-LOTS of olive oil, good vinegar & salt

You can enjoy them at room temp, or even better straight from the fridge!
Veggies will love it. Non-veggies too. Just don’t skip the sauce.

My perfect plan for a date night when you don’t want to cook and just want to enjoy a chill and cozy night. It will ALWAYS be pizza 🍕 yes, just my all times favorite.

So excited since my fav place in town @alba.sourdough.pizza now has delivery! I have to say that pizza arrives perfectly warm. For sure I always add their salad (simple but with best dressing and tons of pecorino) that tastes amazing and of course….. tiramisu for happy ending! Trust me, best in town.

As you see, you can also place a cute set up and make it somehow special ♥️ (we just love eating on the carpet! Little pleasures). Flowers and candles will always be there

Eating Madrid: My Latest Finds

Some must-visit spots you shouldn’t miss:

✨ @tonton.madrid Less than a year old, this spot is set in a stunning high-ceilinged space with dim lighting. Mediterranean flavors, a seasonal menu, and gorgeous tableware. Don’t skip the sardine! Great for a night out with friends or a cozy dinner.

🍽️ @saladedespiece I had been to the old location before, but SDD never disappoints! One of the best concepts out there—pure product-driven cooking with a fun, interactive experience. Many dishes are finished tableside. Pic 7? Speechless. Book ahead!

🍸 @vergara_bar Same menu as Bar Trafalgar, but this place is all about the vibe. Cocktails take center stage (we went for wine!), high tables, shareable plates, and at 11 PM, the lights go down, and the music goes up. Perfect for a fun Thursday night! Must-tries: Gilda, pastrami sandwich & cheeseburger.

☕ @climacafecito One of my favorite coffee spots, but my first time eating here. Huge, delicious plates—think eggs, sandwiches, toasts, and bowls. And their cookies? Unreal.

If you’re in Madrid, you know where to go. If not… time for a weekend escape?

Zurich may be home, but Madrid will always be my weakness. ❤️

Throwback to last Sunday’s Spanish aperitivo at my favorite wine bar in town, @ultramarinoszurich!

A little snapshot of what went down: amazing people, great vibes, the best Spanish tapas, wine, vermouth, and music. We even danced some sevillanas!

I wanted to showcase and educate on how we truly do aperitivo in Spain—curated, casual, and cool.

I created several food installations, added beautiful illustrations with explanations for each dish, and designed different spaces for people to enjoy.

From Gildas (my all-time favorite, of course) to berberechos ceviche, plenty of tortilla de patatas, ensaladilla rusa, jamón serrano, mejillones en escabeche, and ensalada de perdiz—everything was delicious! ;)

A beautiful dish isn’t just about looks, it’s about bringing together flavors, textures, and the best of the season. This winter salad does just that. Castelfranco’s delicate pink leaves pair with sweet, juicy citrus (grapefruit and orange), tossed in a bright dressing made from their own juice, mustard, and olive oil. Creamy burrata melts into every bite (or try mozzarella, ricotta, or goat cheese!), while shaved fennel adds crunch and pistachios bring the perfect finish. A final touch of orange zest ties it all together.

The secret? Using what’s in season. BUT if you cannot find Castelfranco? Swap it for radicchio, endive, or butter lettuce. Serve it beautifully, because food should be as inviting as it is delicious.

Press pause. Just for a moment.

Life moves fast. Too fast. And in the rush of it all, we forget how good it feels to slow down. I try to tell this to myself often since I tend to live life the opposite.

A couple of weekends ago, I did just that at my brother’s house in the mountains. My parents, my four siblings, and our partners. All of us together, cooking, eating, talking for hours. No distractions, no rush, just time well spent. We also did a great hike in the snow that was just stunning 🤩🤍(last pics)

Most of the time, you’d find me in the kitchen, my happy place. Chopping, stirring, tasting, while my family moved around - someone setting the table, others lighting the fire, my dad pouring the wine. The best kind of chaos.

Long dinners, even longer sobremesas, music in the background, the warmth of the fire. Simple moments, but the kind that fill me up.

Because in the end, slowing down isn’t about doing less, it’s about making space for what truly matters.

This apple 🍎 compote is pure magic: sweet, tangy, and perfectly spiced. I love it on everything: my favorite porridge, salty dishes like Pad Thai, or just by the spoon (no judgment here!)

What you need: (for an average portion 😂)
-6 apples 🍎 (any variety, but a mix of sweet & tart works best)
-Juice of 1 lemon 🍋
-½ cup water 💧
-2 tbsp agave syrup (or more if you like it sweeter)
-1 cinnamon stick 🌿

How to make it:
1.Peel, core, and chop the apples.
2.Add them to a pot with the lemon juice, water, agave, and cinnamon stick.
3.Cook over medium heat for about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are soft and caramelized.
4.Mash with a fork for a chunky texture or blend for a smooth finish.

Store in the fridge for up to a week (if it lasts that long 😉)

A simple & beautiful Valentine’s dinner idea 💌

Valentine’s is the perfect time to surprise your boyfriend, girlfriend, or even treat yourself! No need to overcomplicate—just focus on good food, a cozy setup, and little thoughtful details. Here’s how I did it:

✨ Grocery run – I always go to @globus for the freshest ingredients, especially for a special night like Valentine’s.
🍴 My menu: Fresh ravioli, roast beef with chimichurri, roasted potatoes & onions, and for dessert—homemade apple pie.

✨ Flowers – A must for any Valentine’s dinner! I picked mine at @blumen_am_stauffacher to add a fresh, romantic touch.

✨ Table setup – Vintage plates, special glasses, and a simple yet elegant color palette: deep reds and pinks. I got creative using red apples as candle holders and plums around the candles, adding a few single flowers for a delicate finish.

Main:
•1 high-quality skinless salmon fillet (700gr)
•1 sheet of puff pastry (depending on size 2)

For the filling:
•400g fresh spinach (a big bag)
•200g cream cheese
•2 shallots, finely chopped

•Zest of 1 lemon
•1 egg yolk
•Salt & pepper

•Dijon mustard

Happy New Year People!!! Even though you can see that I am still sick, and my thingy in my lip still there, I am more than ready for this new year!

You will love this recipe - on your puffy pastry add: tons of Parmesan, one whole caramelized onion (I love the Spanish ones that are a bit sweet. You don’t need to add any sugar, just cook it slowly), and then 450gr of colour carrots in long slices! First marinate them with 1tbs of harissa, 2tbs of honey, a bit of olive oil, salt, and fresh thyme. Take them for 20min to the oven before you then put it on top of the onion.
Some beaten egg on the crust, more them and Parmesan and 35’ to the oven! I am obsessed with harissa and this is the perfect combo

You can have 4 big portions or 8 smaller ones depending if you do as appetizer or main with a side

Save this recipe for your festive dinner 🤩

Truffled Stuffed Pularda/Capon (Deboned Hen)

🔸1 deboned pularda (hen)

For the stuffing:
🔸300g of lean minced pork
🔸400g of minced beef chuck
🔸50g of bacon and 75g of minced ham
🔸2 eggs
🔸A bit of breadcrumbs
🔸1 tub of heavy cream
🔸Salt, pepper, and nutmeg
🔸3 or 4 dried apricots, some prunes, and dates (soaked in cognac for 24 hours)

📝How to:
1.Mix all the stuffing ingredients thoroughly.
2.With gloves on, take the open pularda and start stuffing it slowly, filling all the gaps, including the legs.
3.Add a bit of butter and a few slices of bacon (these will be removed later) to brown the pularda in the oven at high heat for about 10 minutes.
4.Lower the heat to 170°C (340°F) and bake for about 1.5 hours. Halfway through, inject 150ml of cognac into the pularda.

For the sides:
🔸20 shallots caramelized with 1 glass of water, 1 glass of wine, and 3 tablespoons of sugar.
🔸8 apples baked with a touch of butter and sugar.
🔸Candied egg threads, a delicacy. (Huevo hilado)
🔸And, of course, all the juices from the baking process to drizzle over the pularda.
